Rebate Program FAQs
Thank you for your interest in saving energy with Snohomish PUD! Our rebate programs are here to help you make home upgrades more affordable. Important: rebates are subject to change or availability based on program funding.
How long does it take to receive my rebate?
Please allow 3–6 weeks for your rebate application to be processed after submission.
How can I check the status of my rebate?
You can check your rebate status at snopud.com/claimrebate or call 425‑386‑8148 for assistance.
Who is eligible for a rebate?
Rebates are available to Snohomish PUD residential electric customers with an active metered electric account. The qualifying product must be installed in an existing residential dwelling served by Snohomish PUD.
What products qualify for a rebate?
To qualify, the product must be listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) in effect at the time of purchase, be new, and be installed at an eligible residence. Rebates vary by product category and efficiency level. QPLs are available in each product category at snopud.com/rebates.
When do I need to submit my rebate application?
Rebate applications must be submitted within 90 days of the invoice date.
What documentation is required?
You must submit a copy of the original, itemized receipt showing the retailer name, address, phone number, purchase date, product description, manufacturer, model number, purchase price, and proof of payment. Contractor invoices are not accepted.
Are there products that do NOT qualify for rebates?
Rebates are not available for used, refurbished, leased, rented, resale, or auctioned products, or products received as gifts, prizes, warranty replacements, or insurance claims. Products purchased with rewards points or credits and new parts installed in existing products are also not eligible.
Can I combine this rebate with another utility rebate?
No. Rebates cannot be combined with other utility rebates unless specifically approved in writing by Snohomish PUD.
What if the rebate is more than the purchase price of the product?
The rebate cannot exceed the purchase price of the product.
How will I receive my rebate payment?
Rebates are issued either as a check or as a bill credit to your Snohomish PUD electric account.
Is there a limit on how many rebates I can receive?
Yes. Heat pump water heater, clothes washer, clothes dryer, and smart thermostat rebates are limited to one per household every five years. Line‑voltage thermostat rebates are limited to five per household between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2029.
What are the additional requirements for heat pump water heater rebates?
A heat pump water heater must replace an existing water heater to qualify.
What are the additional requirements for Smart Thermostat rebates?
Homes must be heated by an electric forced‑air furnace or ducted heat pump and be a single‑family, multi‑family, or manufactured home. Occupancy detection must be enabled, geographic location set correctly, and the thermostat programmed for a heat pump if applicable. Installation and eligibility may be verified.
What happens if I submit multiple applications for the same product?
Submitting excessive or duplicate rebate applications may be considered fraud and could result in denial of rebates or legal action.
Can Snohomish PUD change or end the rebate program?
Yes. Rebate programs are subject to available funding and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time without notice.
