Join us for Hydropower Appreciation Day!

May 15 or 16 in Monroe, 9 to 10:15 am & 10:45 am to noon

Water is our power

This year there are two dates to celebrate it!

Did you know that as a PUD customer, the electricity that powers your home is over 97% carbon-free? This is largely due to the wonders of hydropower. The PUD gets about 80% of its power from hydroelectric projects. While you are likely familiar with the larger dams you might find on the Columbia River, a portion of that comes from smaller hydroelectric projects like the one at the Woods Creek Sustainability Center. This annual event offers an opportunity to see hydropower in action.

Attendance is free, but tickets are required. This event always fills up, so don’t miss your chance to reserve a spot.

Reservations opening soon! Watch this page.
