Lighting to Go instant discounts are applied at purchase when you shop at Lighting to Go distributors across the region. There is no pre-approval or paperwork needed. Instant discounts can cover as much as 80% of the purchase price.

Strategic Energy Management (SEM) programs

PUD offers SEM programs with coaching focused on modeling and understanding energy use, and implementation of low to no-cost behavior-based improvements. Eligible participants receive incentives based on annual energy performance savings. Additional funds are available every two years to purchase equipment for energy-use tracking.

New Commercial Construction

Working with designers (architects, engineers, etc.) pre-construction to implement energy efficiency prior to finalization of buildings’ drawings (plans & specs). Whole building energy model shows kWh savings above and beyond a standard code-compliant building. kWh savings are paid to the owner after final verification. PUD pays incentives to the customer for energy savings in buildings and supplies small stipends to the design teams for their time. Commercial, Industrial, Large Multi-Family construction is eligible.

Net Metering

The Net Metering Program is based on RCW 80.60 which allows PUD customers to earn credits towards their utility bill from the energy they export back to the PUD grid from their solar system. To be eligible for the net metering program, customers must size their solar system under 100 kW and must go through the interconnection application process to interconnect to the PUD grid.

Carbon Solutions

Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) available to purchase supporting the production of clean energy. Each REC purchased means 1000 kWh of energy generated by a renewable resource has been sent to the electrical grid.
