Recent heavy rains have filled the Spada Lake reservoir to its spill elevation. Water is currently spilling over the morning glory spillway at Culmback Dam, releasing water into the Sultan River. This is a normal operation for the dam. Areas downstream of the dam may experience a rise in river levels and increase in river currents. PUD staff are monitoring weather forecasts and river levels, and we will update this message with more information as it’s available.
