We offer streamlined acceptance. If anyone in your household:

    • Has DSHS benefits (such as food, TANF, Refugee Assistance, State Supplemental Plan, aged, blind and disabled)
    • Qualifies for free or reduced lunch from the national school lunch program
    • Participates in an income-qualified housing assistance program (Housing Authority of Snohomish County, Everett Housing Authority, Housing Hope/Hopeworks, YWCA, Rapid Rehousing Program)

You can also obtain a printed application at any PUD office, most senior centers, or by calling Customer Service (425-783-1000). Complete and return it with required documents by mail or fax as listed on the app.

How will I know if I qualify?

Applications are generally reviewed near the time of your next scheduled billing date. A letter will be mailed to let you know if your application was approved or denied. If approved, the letter will include the discount rate you will receive and how to redeem a free energy-saving bundle. Any approved discount will be for future billings and does not apply to current charges nor to past due amounts.
