Replacing Meter Room Locks

According to the PUD’s Electrical Service Requirements (ESR) Section 5.E.8., the PUD requires around-the-clock safe and unobstructed access to meter room(s) on customer premises via a heavy-duty BEST knobset and locking system from BEST Access Systems. This is to ensure that service-related work on PUD-owned equipment, wiring or metering devices can be completed when necessary.

To ensure complete access, the PUD is requesting the owners of meter rooms install a BEST Access locking system. The PUD will have access through a universal BEST passkey (pictured).
