Nighttime Lane Closure Planned on Highway 2 for March 20 and 21

Single lane closure will allow Snohomish PUD to safely complete emergency equipment replacement

EVERETT, Wash. – Travelers should plan for delays due to a planned closure of the westbound lane of Highway 2/Stevens Pass near milepost 34.24 west of Index on March 20 and 21 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Snohomish County PUD flaggers will alternate traffic into the eastbound lane.

PUD crews will perform emergency work to replace regulators that were damaged during a storm event earlier this year. The single-lane closure is necessary because work is occurring on a curve that could create dangerous conditions for PUD crews and drivers.

Travelers should visit Washington State Department of Transportation real-time travel center for the latest information on road closures and travel times before traveling.
