Solar installation at the PUD

As part of a series of initiatives to promote solar energy in the community, the PUD has installed a photovoltaic systems at its Everett headquarters. The 10-kilowatt system can produce nearly enough energy for an average PUD customer’s home.

A total of 54 photovoltaic modules are installed on the south side entryway and adjacent rooftop at the PUD office building. The system includes a display in the PUD’s lobby that provides visitors with real-time output for the solar panels.

System Specs:

  • 54-module system
  • Expected production of 10,700 kilowatt-hours annually
  • Utilizes Fronius inverter to convert DC/AC power
  • Lobby display features output
  • Design, installation and commissioning by Whidbey Sun & Wind
