Field Trips

The Woods Creek Hydro Projects lovely waterfall

We love showing students first-hand how electricity is generated, so the PUD is excited to offer tours of our Woods Creek Hydro Project for student groups. Students will see the project’s intake, penstock route, powerhouse, and tailrace. This tour also includes visiting a 60-foot waterfall, riparian restoration areas, and a food forest. Your tour guides will include experts from our Power Generation Team including engineers, biological scientists, permitting specialists, plant operators, and more!
