Granite Falls High School

In 2012, this 8.5-kW solar array was installed atop the school’s south-facing rooftop, which has strong visibility in the community. The school also installed a video monitor to share system data, and it holds community events to build awareness about solar energy and other green resources.

The new Granite Falls High School opened in January 2008. It features 38 teaching stations, a state-of-the-art library/media center, five science labs and a greenhouse, a performing arts center with seating for 500 people and a turf football field and tennis courts.

This project was funded as part of Snohomish County PUD's Planet Power program, and installed by Whidbey Sun and Wind.
