Helping Habitat for Humanity serve our community

The PUD’s Energy Services team partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County to complete an energy-efficiency retrofit of the lights in its Smokey Point store. The high-efficiency LED lighting equipment was installed through the PUD’s Small Business Direct Install Program and will save Habitat for Humanity more than $7,500 on its electricity bills each year.

“Without the support of this program, we would have spent more than $20,000. This has enabled us to put the entirety of our energy savings into housing solutions for local families.”

–Steven Li, executive director, Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County
