The PUD encourages the development of local distributed, renewable generation. The Small Renewables Program provides a standard methodology for determining the price the PUD may pay for renewable generating resources between 100 kilowatts and 2 megawatts that are located within our service territory.
Projects that meet the program’s criteria may be eligible to sell 100 percent of the generator’s energy output and associated environmental attributes to the PUD under a standard purchase agreement for a term of up to five years, with an option to extend. Please see links to the right for a full program description and Sample Power Purchase Agreement.
For projects 100 kW or smaller, please refer to the PUD’s Net Metering Program (click here).
If you are interested in the Small Renewables Program and have a potential project over 100kW and up to 2 MW, please contact the Senior Manager of Power Supply at 425-309-6923.
If you have general questions regarding Generation Interconnection on projects over 100kW, please contact Key Accounts at 425-783-8180.
