Using a few simple pieces of equipment, this hands-on program teaches students how to “power” things to help them better understand the world of energy.
Energy Explorer Day features activities that teach students about basic electrical circuits, including series and parallel circuits. Students will design and wire a model of their dream room, based on their own schematic diagram.
Students in grades 4th through 6th at the time of camp and living in Snohomish County or on Camano Island are eligible to register for Energy Explorer Day. The event duration is for one day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $20 for the day.
Wednesday, April 3, OR Wednesday, April 10, 2019
The event is held at Snohomish County PUD Electric Building headquarters in Everett (2320 California Street). Space in the program is limited, and registration is first-come, first-served. Registration forms may be mailed or hand-delivered ("Attn: Heather Herbst").
