Requirements for Each Measure

Attic Insulation (pre-approval required)

Existing attic insulation level must be less than R11 to be eligible. Final insulation level must be R49 or the maximum R-value the attic cavity can accommodate but not less than R19. In-progress and final inspections are required.

Wall Insulation (pre-approval required)

Existing wall insulation level must be R0 to be eligible. A minimum of R11 must be added. In-progress and final inspections are required.

Floor Insulation (pre-approval required)

Existing insulation must be R11 or less to be eligible. Final insulation level is the maximum R-value the joist cavity can accommodate but not less than R19. A final inspection is required.

Windows and Sliding Glass Doors (pre-approval required)

Existing single-pane (SP) windows with any type of frame and double-pane (DP) windows with metal frames are eligible. Existing windows and sliding glass doors must be replaced with new units having a U-rating <= .30. A final inspection is required. “TP” = triple-pane.

In-Unit* (pre-approval required)

LED light bulbs must be ENERGY STAR or LDL-qualified and must be replacing incandescent lighting. Low-flow showerheads must be not greater than 1.75 gpm and WaterSense-certified. Faucet aerators must not be greater than 1.5 gpm (kitchen) and 1.0 gpm (bath) and be WaterSense-certified. Advanced power strips must incorporate an infrared remote sensing strip and be used in conjunction with home theater equipment. In-progress and final inspections are required.

Common Area Lighting* (pre-approval required)

Common area lighting includes any area within the complex that is not tenant-controlled. Savings and incentives are based on energy savings. Must use Snohomish PUD Workbook. In-progress and final inspections are required.

*Can be installed by on-site staff
