Efficient Appliance Rebates

Additional Rebates from Washington State!

Washington State is now offering rebates for the purchases of new, eligible efficient clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators and ductless heat pumps. These state appliance rebates are available while funds last and are in addition to the PUD efficient appliance rebates. (Separate forms required for the PUD rebates and the Washington State rebates.)

Up to $155 in rebates for refrigerators:

  • PUD rebate: $50
  • PUD refrigerator recycling rebate: $30
  • Washington State Cash for Appliances rebate: $75

Up to $250 in rebates for clothes washers:

  • PUD rebate: $100 ($50 & $75 rebates also available but they don't qualify for additional state rebate)
  • Washington State Cash for Appliances rebate: $150

Up to $110 in rebates for dishwashers:

  • PUD rebate: $35
  • Washington State Cash for Appliances rebate: $75

Up to $1,550 in rebates for ductless heat pumps:

  • PUD rebate: $800
  • Washington State Cash for Appliances rebate: $750

PUD Rebates for Efficient Dishwashers & Refrigerators

To be eligible for a PUD rebate, dishwashers and refrigerators must be ENERGY STAR® rated; chest and upright freezers on the refrigerator list are not eligible. Download the lists of qualifying models to ensure your purchase meets the ENERGY STAR® requirement:

To make a rebate claim for a dishwasher and/or refrigerator, download the appropriate PDF form to the right. Rebates will be issued as a credit on your PUD bill.

Instructions:

  • You can fill the form out by hand and attach a copy of your receipt when you mail the completed application.
  • To enter information electronically, save a copy of the PDF to your hard drive. Then open the copy on your hard drive, fill in appropriate fields and print a copy. (Mac users: use Adobe's Acrobat Reader for best results; using the Mac's "Preview" software can result in errors.) Attach a copy of your receipt when you mail the completed application.
  • You can email a completed electronic copy to appliancerebates@snopud.com (and attach a scanned copy of the receipt).

PUD Rebates for Efficient Clothes Washers

Through a partnership with other regional electric and water utilities, the PUD offers three rebate levels ($50, $75, $100) for premium-efficiency clothes washers which meet the WashWise program criteria. The WashWise program criteria and rebate levels are based on increasing efficiency as determined by Modified Energy Factors* and Water Factors†.

To make a rebate claim for a clothes washer, download the form to the right and follow instructions. This rebate application must be mailed to WashWise, not the PUD (see form for WashWise mailing address). WashWise will mail a rebate check.

* The higher the Modified Energy Factor (MEF), the more efficiently the clothes washer uses electricity.
