The Snohomish County Energy Assistance Program offices are located at 3000 Rockefeller Avenue and usually open around November 15 (depending on the availability of funding) and close when funds are spent, usually around April 1. Here are directions to the offices:
Heading South on I-5:
Take "City Center - Everett Avenue" exit (Exit 194) and stay in right-hand lane. Turn right onto Everett Avenue. Follow Everett AVenue to Oakes Street. Turn left onto Oakes Street. Take Oakes about three blocks up on the hill. The Energy Assistance offices will be in mid-block on your right. The County parking garage entry is also on your right.
If you miss the Exit 194, continue south to the 41st Avenue exit (Exit 192). Stay in the right-hand lane, turn right onto 41st Avenue. Then turn right onto Colby Avenue, turn right onto Wall Street, turn right onto Oakes Street, and then turn right into the County garage.
Heading North on I-5:
Take the Broadway exit (Exit 192) on the left-hand side of the freeway. Stay on Broadway heading north to Pacific Avenue. Turn left onto Pacific Avenue and go west two blocks. Turn right onto Oakes Street. Go a half block. The Energy Assistance offices are on your left. The County parking garage entry is also on your left.
If you miss Exit 192, continue to Pacific Avenue exit (Exit 193, a right-hand exit), turn left onto Pacific Avenue, go across Broadway and follow the directions above.
There is up to 90 minutes free parking available on Wall and Oakes Streets near the Energy Assistance offices. There is half-hour free parking in the County parking garage. While half an hour is not enough time for your appointment, it is enough time for someone meeting you to park and come to the offices to see if you are ready to leave. Parking beyond half an hour is the County parking garage costs $2 for the first two hours.
Finding the location of the Energy Assistance Offices
When you arrive on the County campus, go to any map directory and locate the Administration Complex, which is colored green on the map. Energy Assistance is in the lower level of the East Administration building and can be entered directly from Oakes Street using the Human Services entry door (colored purple on the map directory).
