Bill Payment Fees & Policies

New Changes Effective August 1, 2012

Late Fee: $10

To cover costs incurred in PUD bill collection efforts, payments received 15 days or more after the due date will be subject to a $10 late fee, effective August 1, 2012.

Disconnection Fee: $40

To cover costs incurred while disconnecting a PUD account for non-payment, a $40 disconnection fee will be charged, effective August 1, 2012.

Reconnection Fees: $40 / $80

Fees to reconnect power start at $40 for next-day service and $80 for same-day reconnection.

Payments at a Customer’s Service Address

PUD employees will no longer collect payments at customers’ homes prior to disconnection of service. The change protects the safety of PUD field workers, reduces bill collection expenses and tightens financial policies for auditing purposes. The new policy also is consistent with electric utility best practices.
