PUD rates are set by the Board of Commissioners. The rates are divided into “schedules,” depending on the type of service you receive.

The PUD uses a two-season rate charge. The summer rate is in effect from April 1 to September 30, while the slightly higher winter rate covers October 1 to March 31.

As of October 1, 2009, residential billing rates are about 8.0 cents per kilowatt-hour for summer usage and 8.4 cents per kilowatt-hour for winter usage. See Schedule 7 for full details.
