Incentives & Rebates for Existing Buildings

Common Area Lighting

  • Covers: Any area within the complex that is not tenant-controlled
  • Eligibility: Apartment or condominium buildings in the PUD's service territory with 5 or more attached units
  • Incentive: 20 cents per kilowatt-hour saved, up to 100% of project cost
  • Requirements: Application Packet, Pre-approval, In-progress and Final Verification

In-Unit Measures

  • Covers: Efficient lighting, showerheads, faucet aerators, advanced power strips
  • Eligibility: Apartment or condominium buildings in the PUD's service territory with 5 or more attached units
  • Incentives: Varies, depending on measure, see chart
  • Requirements: See chart; Application Packet, Pre-approval, In-progress and Final Verification. Showerheads and aerators require electrically heated water.
  • Measures can be installed by on-site staff

Windows & Insulation Weatherization

Two incentive paths: We offer a choice of two paths for participation: "Weatherization Only" and "Weatherization Plus." The "Plus" option provides higher incentive amounts for windows and insulation for those who also do common area lighting or in-unit measures.

  • Covers: attic, floor and wall insulation, windows and sliding-glass doors
  • Eligibility: Apartment or condominium buildings in the PUD's service territory with 5 or more attached units and up to 3 stories in height may be eligible. Buildings over 3 stories will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Must have permanently installed electric heat.

  • Requirements: See chart; Application Packet, Pre-approval, In-progress and Final Verification. All structures must be on a PUD residential electric service rate and have an active residential account(s) with the PUD.
